ASECA is a non-profit charitable organization that fosters the shared history and unique camaraderie between SEC alumni globally.

Founded in 1990 with the goal of continuing the camaraderie that existed among members when they worked together at the Securities and Exchange Commission, today ASECA boasts a network of nearly 1,000 SEC alumni worldwide. Read more about ASECA here.

ICI & ASECA: Celebrating 100 Years of the Mutual Fund

 

A special thank you to the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and Dimensional Fund Advisors for their part in the Austin, TX event on May 14th. Five former directors of the SEC Division of Investment Management came together to reflect on the current issues facing the investment management industry.

Industry pioneer David Booth, Founder and Chairman of Dimensional Fund Advisors, hosted the event, alongside Co-Chief Executive Officers Dave Butler & Gerard K. O’ReillyEric Pan, President and CEO of the Investment Company Institute, and Catherine Newell, General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Dimensional Fund Advisors, moderated the panel. Heather Traeger, ASECA Board Member and President-Elect, will provide concluding remarks.
