Join the Investment Company Institute (ICI) and the Association of Securities and Exchange Commission Alumni (ASECA) in Austin, Texas on May 14, 2024, for a unique event bringing together six former directors of the SEC Division of Investment Management in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the mutual fund and reflecting on the current issues facing the investment management industry. Over the last three decades, these former officials guided the regulation of the investment management industry. This free-flowing conversation will reflect on the unique impact of the industry on the American economy while looking ahead at the most pressing regulatory questions facing the industry in the future. Industry pioneer David Booth, Founder and Chairman of Dimensional Fund Advisors, will provide opening remarks alongside Co-Chief Executive Officers Dave Butler & Gerard K. O’Reilly. Eric Pan, President and CEO of the Investment Company Institute, and Catherine Newell, General Counsel and Executive Vice President of Dimensional Fund Advisors, will moderate the panel. And Heather Traeger, ASECA Board Member and President-Elect, will provide concluding remarks. The event will be followed by a networking reception with refreshments and hors d'oeuvres.
